ELITE WILDERNESS COMMUNITY
The Beaverkill Valley, nestled in the Catskill Mountains in the hamlets of Roscoe, Lew Beach, and Livingston Manor, is home to an elite community that has a strong belief in protecting the environment. It was first established by Larry Rockefeller who created the Rockefeller Conservation Project, working to protect wildlife and the environment while allowing residents a place to make a home and feel connected to the nature around them. Giving you the luxuries of city life, each home provides an experience that brings you close to nature. As a member of the Mountain Club, you can have access to 40 miles of trails for biking, cross country skiing, and hiking where so much of the wildlife can be spotted, such as bald eagles, herons, pileated woodpeckers, and other large animals like bears, coyotes, and bobcats. You can also have access to permits (out of 72) allowed along a five-mile stretch of the Beaverkill River, which is most famous for its trout and fly fishing. Even enjoying a drive along the river toward the home is enough to make you feel relaxed immediately.
Other amenities you have access to as part of the community are the facilities at the Beaverkill Valley Inn and members-only weekly organized parties held in Lew Beach or local homes. This provides an opportunity to connect with others in the community while still being able to retreat to your own secluded property. This membership also includes an indoor swimming pool, fitness room, basketball court, tennis courts, entertainment center, and much more. This is not just a weekend home, this is a lifestyle.
