White Lake

Are you looking for an assortment of country entertainment? White Lake NY may be the perfect summer destination or retreat for you. A rare blend of commercial and residential dwelling gives White Lake a unique twist that no other lake in the Catskills can boast.

From the charming villas to classy dining on the water’s edge, this lake community thrives on both country cuisine and summer recreation. The location is close to ideal being minutes away from the growing village of Monticello but far enough into the country to give that much needed “breath of fresh air”. White lake is built around a crystal clear 280 Acre motorboat lake reaching close to 90 feet in depth. This lake is also stocked annually with both Brown trout and lake trout. Other species of fish are also present such as the smallmouth bass, pickerel, and panfish.

Lakefront homes here tend to range in price from $250,000 to $1m while homes slightly off the lake (but still with a lake view) could be offered as low as $130,000. Most homes around this lake have smaller lots averaging a quarter acre and the majority of properties are attached to community water and septic system. White Lake is also unique in that it is made up of several smaller communities and lakefront condos. Some homes are not even a part of these. Amenities include, but are not limited to sports courts, a beach, pool, boat docks, and even motorboat rentals

White lake is also proud to be the closest hamlet to the Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center and benefits from the many tourists who attend summer concerts and festivals. As a result, several lakefront restaurants such as The Fat Lady Café, Bubbas BBQ, and barrios kitchen have emerged. Our favorites include Sorellas Pizza and of course Benji & Jakes. Although this lake seems to be constantly bursting with life, there is a quiet side as well. Peaceful dead-end road curves along the far north edge of the lake providing solace for those who don’t mind the sound of motorboats. This lake is unlike any other in the Catskills bringing diversity and country cheer.
